Timepieces Deserve
Unhurried Attention
From a light polish to a patient restoration — we work carefully with each watch brought to our workshop, taking the time the work genuinely requires.
What We Do
Three Levels of Care
Each service is tailored to what the watch actually needs. We discuss the work with you before we begin, and keep you informed as things progress.
Case & Bracelet Polish
A gentle cosmetic service for watches whose movements run well but whose cases show daily wear. We clean and polish the case and bracelet where suitable, attend to a scratched crystal, and renew worn gaskets. A short condition note is provided.
- Case and bracelet polished with care
- Scratched crystal replaced if needed
- Worn gaskets renewed
- Basic function check included
Typical time: 1–2 weeks
Full Service
A complete service for mechanical movements losing steady timekeeping. We clean and re-oil the movement, inspect the balance and mainspring, replace worn parts where needed, and regulate timing across positions. Seals are renewed throughout.
- Movement fully cleaned and re-oiled
- Balance and mainspring inspected
- Timing regulated across positions
- Seals renewed for water resistance
Typical time: ~3 weeks
Full Restoration
A patient restoration for cherished or vintage timepieces. Alongside a complete overhaul, we restore the case finish with care and attend to the dial and hands in keeping with the watch's original character. Each step is discussed with you beforehand and documented throughout.
- Complete movement overhaul
- Case finish restored to original character
- Dial and hands carefully attended to
- Progress documented and shared
Typical time: 5–8 weeks

Why Chaiya
How We Work
A few things that matter to us, and the people who bring their watches to us.
Condition Assessed First
We look at the watch carefully and speak with you about what we find before any work begins. Nothing happens without your knowledge.
Timelines Shared Openly
We give realistic estimates from the start. If something changes during the work, we let you know rather than surprising you at collection.
Proper Workshop Technique
Each movement is cleaned ultrasonically and lubricated with the correct oils for its age and type — the same approach used by watchmakers in the trade.
Work Documented
For restoration work, we photograph and note each stage. You receive a summary of what was found and what was done when we return the watch.
Parts from Trusted Sources
Replacement parts — where needed — are sourced from respected suppliers. We discuss any substitutions with you before fitting.
Care After Collection
We're happy to answer questions after you collect your watch. If something seems off in the weeks following the service, come back and we'll take a look.
Ready to Bring a Watch In?
We'd be glad to take a look. Send us a message or call the workshop to arrange a visit — no obligation to proceed until you're comfortable with what we find.
